Responsible textile production: respect for human rights, environmental protection & transparent reporting

Menschenrechte in der Textilproduktion

Responsible textile production: Respect for human rights and environmental protection are particularly important to us! You can find out what we pay attention to in detail and what exactly we want to improve in our review report of the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles. Our aim here is to do our best – not only for the product but also in terms of human rights and the environment. Every year, we strive to improve our quality and remain true to our principles, which include human rights, working conditions, the environment and anti-corruption.

That is why we have been a member of the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles since 2020, a multi-stakeholder initiative with the aim of improving social and environmental conditions in the textile and clothing industry. The Textiles Partnership has around 130 members, including companies and associations, non-governmental organizations, standards organizations, trade unions and the German government.

With the review process, the @textilbuendnis has developed an implementation standard and a reporting format for due diligence obligations. The aim is for companies to better fulfill their individual responsibility for their supply chain and to prevent and mitigate social, environmental and corruption risks in their value chains.

Every company plays a small part in this and is constantly setting itself new targets in order to really live up to its responsibilities. A progress report documents whether these targets have been achieved or are still to be implemented.

Further information on the review process can be found on the Textiles Partnership website: https://www.textilbuendnis.com/der-review-prozess/
